Dundee take on Ayr United at Somerset Park this Wednesday and Dundee will be hoping to get back on track with a win after their embarrassing Scottish Cup Quarter Final exit to Raith Rovers at Dens Park last Saturday. Ayr United are on a good bit of form at the moment with taking 7 points out of the last 9 available. Ayr United also gave themselves a good account of themselves in all of their games against Dundee this season and nearly caused an upset in the Scottish Cup 5th Round at Dens when they took the league against the Dark Blues through former Dee Tam McManus.
Jocky will hopefully be making some changes as they look for a win to put them six points clear at the top of the league. Saturday brings another difficult fixture in the form of Airdrie United at Airdrie but if Dundee want to win the league they have to win maximum points against the two lowest placed teams in the First Division.
