100 years of waiting

The Scottish Cup has long given Dundee fans a fair share of thrills and spills over the years but the fact remains that our only success in this competition came a century ago in 1910 where we had to overcome Clyde. Our last appearance in the Scottish Cup final saw us narrowly lose to Rangers 1-0 courtesy of a late Lorenzo Amoruso header. As we look to the future in this competition, could 2010 be the year Dundee win the Scottish Cup? 100 years since our only triumph and with quality of players now at our disposal, surely Dundee fans are allowed to dream of the prospect of the famous old trophy residing once again in the Dens Park boardroom.
