Dundee 1-0 Queen of the South
Dundee started the season well as they recorded a victory over Queen of the South at Dens. After a week in which both clubs were involved in a war of words regarding the possible transfer of Bob Harris to Dundee from Queens, it was time for the talking to be done on the pitch and Dundee did the majority of the talking as they managed to win the game with 9 men on the park. Gary Harkin's fantastic free kick was the only goal of the game.
