NEW BOY FACTFILE: JAKE HYDE

Jake returns to Dens.
Jake is well known with Dundee fans after his trial period at Dens in March. He played two games against Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath, scoring three goals in the process before moving to Dunfermline Athletic on amatuer terms until the end of the season. He played two games for the Pars and saw Dunfermline win the First Division title in his spell at East End Park.

Jake is only 20 years old and was born in England. He started his professional career with Swindon Town in 2008 but unfortunately he didn't make an appearance for them. He was then farmed out on loan to Weymouth in 2008 and 2009, making 11 appearances and scoring one goal. He released from Swindon in 2009 where he then joined Barnet. He spent the season there, making 34 appearances and scoring six goals. He the continued his footballing trials in 2010 and he joined Conference National side, Hayes and Yeading United. He made just nine appearances for the club before being released.

In March 2011, he joined Scottish Junior side, Lochee United and joined Dundee FC on trial for three games. In that period of time, he played twice for the Dark Blues scoring three goals, before joining Dunfermline on a short term contract.

In May 2011, he was released along with a plethora of Dunfermline players and in June he signed a one year deal with Dundee.

Welcome back to Dens, Jake. Good to have you onboard.
